I originally went online to the actual pillow pets website and it was going too take to long to ship the item in time for my daughter's birthday. I chose the 11" Unicorn - and I can't tell you how disappointed I am. My 3yr old doesn't notice, but you cannot even find the eyes. It just looks like a fur face. I am planning on contacting the seller to see if I can exchange, however, I cannot believe it was sent to me in the first place.

It just another gimmick to get kids to make their parents buy it. A pillow and a pet. I bought this for my girl from the pillowpets sites. It took around 1 week for them to even ship it. But enough of my rants.
The pillowpet itself is pretty well made and cute. Its also soft and serves as a decent pillow. Though its not ideal for summer months in my opinion because the fabric makes you hot. Its an alright toy when you attach the velcro fabric so it holds as shown in the amazon picture. Though sometimes it doesn't hold very well and detaches.
The fun factor goes away after a while though. After a week my girl had forgotten pillowpet in her toy box and wasnt even bothering to use it as a pillow.
So basically its just another gimmick. If possible(i.e your kids not asking you to buy it every 5 minutes) i suggest just buying something else as a present/gift. Something that they will use more and wont discard in a week. What that is you'll have to find out though, sorry i cant help more on it. I generally just buy my girl barbie videogames and most of them get played with more than the pillowpet has been played with. I think i will stick to that stricter from now on.
